The Story Behind the Flame

We weave between Prague's most photogenic pastry shops on an easy 3 km walk built for sugar and slow afternoons. Czech věnečky in seasonal flavours, hot kandelín (warm potato dessert), and modern showstoppers like the nougat-egg and the green-apple dessert that's almost too pretty to eat.

Stories, history, and tips for your trip slipped in between the bites. Kids from age 4 are very welcome.

"The best spice in any dish is the story of the hands that made it."

The Sweet Route

5 stops

A dessert-first tasting walk - where we pause, what you may taste, and the neighbourhood stories in between. This is not a full meal, so arrive lightly hungry rather than starving.

    Czech Věnečky in Seasonal Flavours

We open with the Czech choux ring - filled with seasonal flavours that rotate through the year. Always fresh, always overlooked by tourists.

    Hot Kandelín (Warm Potato Dessert)

A traditional Czech sweet made from warm potato dough. Sounds odd, tastes incredible - and almost nobody outside Prague knows it exists.

    The Nougat-Egg Dessert

A modern Czech showstopper shaped like an egg. The kind of dessert you photograph before you eat - and then immediately regret photographing because it's better than it looks.

    The Green Apple Dessert

A modern gourmet plate disguised as a green apple. Almost too beautiful to break - almost.

    Prague's Most Photogenic Cafés

We wander between cafés that locals actually visit and tourists never find - all set on the prettiest streets in the old quarter.
