The Story Behind the Flame

Athens is not only ruins and postcards. Its sweet side is honey, phyllo, syrup, coffee and street energy: a city where Greek, Ottoman, Balkan and Middle Eastern flavors sit on the same small cafe table. This route is built from the guide handoff: Monastiraki into Psyri, a warm loukoumades opening, a richer syrup-cake stop, Greek coffee for balance, a classic phyllo/cream moment, and a light gelato or profiterole finish near Syntagma. It is one compact tasting route, not a list of random best desserts.
